Our Funding Process

We don’t operate an open fund so please don’t spend valuable time writing to us for funding because we are unable to respond to requests.

Uganda Dec 2022 (IMG_5600)

We offer multi-year project grants to carefully selected initiatives that empower forcibly displaced people and their hosts to adapt to climate change and protect the environment.

We don’t run open calls for application. Instead, we seek out mission-aligned organisations whose work:

  • improves lives and restores the environment.
  • promotes co-operation between displaced and host communities.
  • is locally-led.
  • empowers women.
  • uses regenerative, nature-based solutions.

Our grantmaking is relational — built on open, honest, and trusting partnerships. We view our grantholders as partners, learning from their experience and sharing insights across our network and beyond.

Who We support

As a registered charity, JAC Trust can only fund activities that are charitable in law.

We support:

  • NGOs, community-based organisations, and refugee-led organisations working in displacement settings.
  • Indigenous-led organisations supporting displaced community members.
  • NGOs that strengthen grassroots practitioners, test innovations and promote best practice.
