Our Team

The JAC Trust is a registered charity governed by six trustees. The trustees are volunteers and employ a Trust Director to manage the Trust on a day-to-day basis. In addition to the trustees, a number of the descendants of the Trust’s founder, Tony Clark, support the work of the Trust in a voluntary capacity, primarily in the assessment of grant applications.

William Pym

Deputy-Chair

William Pym is deputy chair of trustees of the JAC Trust. William is a member of the investment committee and has responsibility for the land and building assets for the Trust. William has a long experience in grant giving and policy making for the JAC Trust. William is an artist and educator, with a degree in Sculpture and an MA in Art and Education, he lives and teaches in the North East UK.

Aidan Pelly

Trustee

Aidan Pelly is chair of the programme committee of the JAC Trust. He has a BSc in Law and Business, an MSc in Educational Management and Applied Linguistics, a PgD in Buddhist Studies, and an MA in Counseling Psychology. He grew up in England and New Zealand and has lived and worked in Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Australia. His work has been principally around teaching, writing training materials, training teachers and helping to transform teaching cultures. He currently works as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in San Francisco

Andrew Pym

Trustee

Andrew is a Risk and Audit professional who is passionate about combating environmental change and those impacted by it. He studied Politics at the University of Nottingham and Political Economy at King’s College London before entering the world of work. Since then he has spent 5 years as a Risk Consultant at Deloitte UK and currently works for Monzo Bank as the Operational Resilience Lead.

David Linehan

Trustee

David is an experienced investment professional who has over 10 years principal investing experience having worked as an investment manager for Tesco Pension Investment and prior to that, for Ireland’s sovereign wealth fund. David has also worked as an investment banker for a decade advising corporates across a range of industry sectors. As well as first class BSc and MSc Finance degrees, David is a graduate of the Financial Strategy programme at Said Business School Oxford and holds the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.

Dulma Clark

Trustee

Dulma Clark is a Trustee and a Chair of the Investment Committee at the JAC Trust.

At her full-time job she runs the Livebarefoot Foundation, an in-house philanthropic and impact investment hub centralising all social and environmental projects and driving research and innovation at Vivobarefoot, a family footwear company with a mission to reconnect people and nature by creating regenerative footwear and experiences. Prior to that she set up an ethical shoemaking production line in Ethiopia providing jobs and value adding on locally sourced materials. In parallel, she has been collaborating with the indigenous communities setting up small-scale cobbling social enterprises to preserve traditional craftsmanship and to share the knowledge of wisdom traditions to the world. Dulma is originally from Lake Baikal, Siberia and is an LSE graduate in Human Rights and Champion of Russia in archery.

Odette Clark Campbell

Chair

Odette Clark Campbell is the Chair of the Trustees of the JAC Trust. As Chair, Odette overseas the annual budget and overall strategy of the Trust. Odette works with trustees and the Trust Director to ensure the Trust meets governance and legal requirements. Odette has lived and worked in Switzerland, India, France and Seattle, Washington, and currently lives in Washington, D.C. Odette has a BA in Economics with a focus on international development and a Masters of Public Administration.

Daniela Lloyd-Williams

Trust Director

Daniela joined JAC Trust in 2015. She works closely with the Trustees on strategy, governance and investments and effective grant-making. Daniela’s background is in international development, her roles have spanned research, policy & advocacy, fundraising and grant-making. She has worked in the NGO sector for 20 years. Daniela is a keen learner, she has a PhD in Agricultural Economics, a MSc in Grantmaking and Philanthropy and has just started learning Italian. Daniela is trustee of the Samworth Foundation and a trustee of the Association of Charitable Foundations. 

Lynette Cooper

Trust Secretary

As Trust Secretary, Lynette manages the Trust office, providing Secretarial and Administrative support to the Trust Director and Trustees. Lynette has been working in the field of family Trusts since 2001 and has been developing her role with the JAC Trust since 2016. In recent years she has added to her versatility by achieving AAT Level 3 in Accounting. Based in the beautiful Somerset Levels, Lynette enjoys the countryside and wildlife, with a particular passion for small animal rescue and the need for better education in this area. 

Richard Black

Advisor to the Programme Committee

Professor Richard Black is Advisor to the Programme Committee of the JAC Trust.

Richard is an academic with over 30 years’ experience of research and education relating to migration (including forced migration), development and environmental change. He has worked across a number of countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe, working amongst others with the World Bank, UNHCR, the International Organisation for Migration and the UK government. He is currently Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of the College of Social Sciences at the University of Birmingham and a Trustee of the UK’s Academy of Social Sciences.
